326. Maj. George DOUGLAS CSA was born on 15 Apr 1842 in Cloverport , Breckinridge Co., Kentucky.³³⁶ He was born to the second marriage, to Nancy Sharp, of Gilson B. Douglas. He was the grandson of Benjamin T. Douglas and the GGG Grandson of Col. John Douglas of Maryland. He died on 26 Apr 1882 in Johnson Co., Arkansas.³³⁷ He was Murdered³³⁷ He was murdered by James Warren and James H. Warren according to the Grand Jury inditement. They were contracted for the killing by James C. Harris, apparently over a land dispute. He was buried on 27 Apr 1882 in Ft. Douglas, Johnson Co., Arkansas.³³⁸ Maj. Douglas served in the Confederate Army.
