24th Generation287. Evaline B. DOUGLAS was born on 2 May 1821 in Botetourt Co., Virginia. She died after 1882 in Botetourt Co., Virginia. Eveline was evolved in many law suits to acquire portions of her father's estate. This continued until the final 125 acres were liquidated in 1882 as a result of a lawsuit filed by her and her sister Catherine. This was a nasty legal suit which stated their brother, William B. Douglas, had no legal heirs, their sister Elizabeth Douglas was never married and their brother, James J. Douglas, had a legal heir, William A. Douglas but had no right to the land. This was all untrue and evidenced a desperate situation, on their part, or perhaps these two women were that greedy. At any rate they were the sole benificires of the sale of the land. Evaline
