17. William de DUGLAS of Hermiston and Linlithgow¹⁴ was born about 1245. He died after 28 Aug 1296. He was born Living in 1277 in Hermiston, Midlothian, Scotland. Knight of Alaxander III of Linlithgow. He succeded his father before 1296. He swore fidelty to King Edward I for his lands in West Lothian. He was the father of two sons James, his heir, and Andrew of Cresswell
